Air conditioning

Cold air, and the reason it stopped.

Leak testing, recharge and component replacement.

Ref. 06Air conditioning

An air conditioning system is sealed. The refrigerant in it does not get used up, so when the air stops blowing cold, the usual reason is that some has leaked out or a component has failed. We do leak testing, recharge and component replacement.

Recharging a system that leaks only buys time. We would sooner find where it is going and tell you, so you can choose between a repair and a recharge knowing what each one gets you.

What it covers

01

Leak testing

Finding where refrigerant is escaping from the system.

02

Recharge

Bringing the refrigerant back to the correct amount.

03

Component replacement

Replacing the part that has failed, once we know which one it is.

When to bring it in

Common signs. Any one of them is reason enough to have it looked at.

  • The air is cool but no longer cold
  • It blows cold at speed and warm at a stop
  • It was recharged before and has faded again
  • A new noise when the air conditioning is switched on
  • No cold air at all

What happens here

You drop the car off and we inspect and test the system. The written estimate says what we found, with photos where the problem can be seen, and lays out the options. We go ahead only with what you approve.

What to tell us when you book

  1. When it stopped cooling, and whether it went suddenly or faded
  2. Whether it has been recharged before, and how long that lasted
  3. Whether the problem changes between idling and driving
  4. Any noise or smell that came with it

Urgent, or not yet

In Tulsa, air conditioning that does not work will feel urgent in summer. On the estimate we still mark honestly whether a fault is harming the system or is only uncomfortable.

Book it in and we will take a look.

The estimate comes first, in writing, with photos. Nothing is done without your approval.
